1 Hello October, Fall and the beginning of the Holiday season! I’m starting a new blogging series today: 31 DIY projects in 31 days. I’m also joining a group of creative bloggers taking part in the 31 in 2011 challenge, by doing 31 blog posts in 31 days.
For the next 31 days I will be sharing a different Do It Yourself project each day.
Day One – Felt Flower.
Thank you to Emily at Jones Design Company for the tutorial.
Materials: Felt (I bought two 29 cent sheets at Michaels), hot glue gun, pen, scissors, and a pin or hair clip.
Make a flower and circle pattern and trace your flower petals onto the felt. I made seven flower petals. Cut out your petals and circle.
Step three: Fold in half.
Step four: Fold in half again.
Step five: Cut off the bottom point.
Step six: Glue onto circle piece. Repeat with remaining petals and… Enjoy the gorgeous felt flower you just made!
45 minutes and a cup of coffee later I now have two adorable felt flowers!
To do this DIY project yourself see the tutorial here.
Tomorrow I think I’ll use my remaining felt to make bows!
